Pack O Mat Industries: Corrugation Machines Crafted with Precision

In the high-stakes world of industrial manufacturing, Tejinder Singh Bhurjee leads through technical intuition and mechanical grit. As the CMD of Pack O Mat Industries, capable of hearing problems in the machinery long before instruments detect them. This mastery has not only sustained a 50-year legacy but has propelled Pack O Mat to become one of India’s leading names in manufacturers of corrugation plant machinery.

Pack O Mat’s story began in 1967 with Singh’s father, whose company was a pioneer in bringing corrugation technology to India. As a third-generation entrepreneur, Tejinder’s path wasn’t always set in stone. After completing his graduation, Tejinder was all set to start a new life in the computer science field. However, destiny and his father’s health had other plans. He stepped into the family factory just to assist with a few material needs of the factory, but as he recalls with a smile, “that ‘temporary’ visit turned into a lifelong journey that never stopped.” Decades later, as he leads a manufacturing empire, he looks back with a sense of deep fulfilment: “Today, I have no regrets.”

For decades, the family business focused on individual components. However, a move to Bhumi World Industrial Park in 2019 changed everything. Transitioning from a cramped 800-square-foot workshop in Bhandup to a spacious, modern facility, Singh finally broke the “frog in the well” mindset. He expanded the production line to offer complete corrugation plants, manufacturing everything from paper cutting machines to full Complete range of corrugation plants.

Tejinder Singh’s philosophy is rooted in hands-on expertise. “Anyone can make a machine from a drawing,” he says, “but only someone who works with their hands can fix one.” This philosophy extends to his lean business model. By utilising a highly skilled contract-based workforce, he ensures rapid production and passes the cost-efficiency directly to his clients.

Today, Pack O Mat is a symbol of “Make in India” excellence. Leveraging the highway connectivity of Bhumi World, Singh serves a pan-India and export market. Even in his downtime, the “Machine Whisperer” remains a relentless traveller, often driving across states to personally ensure his clients face zero downtime. As he looks toward an automated future involving plasma technology, Tejinder Singh remains a man of the floor, solving complex mechanical issues via video calls and ensuring that the legacy of the Bhurjee name continues to set the gold standard in Indian engineering.
