PTVA Schools conducted summer camps to not only keep the students engaged in a productive way but also help them to hone their skills and unravel their hidden talents.
PTVEMS (Secondary) organised a vibrant and energising Fitness Summer Camp for students during the summer break. The camp commenced on 15 April and is being conducted up to 29 April between 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. Breaking away from the usual routine of holidays, students have been participating with remarkable enthusiasm and commitment. The early morning schedule, which is often a challenge during vacations, has been embraced wholeheartedly by the children, reflecting their eagerness to learn and stay active. The 13-day camp has been thoughtfully designed to promote physical fitness through a variety of engaging outdoor activities and structured exercises. Students are being introduced to different forms of workouts using equipment such as low hurdles, hoops, speed ladders and medicine balls. These activities not only improve their stamina and coordination but also instil discipline and teamwork. The camp is being conducted under the dedicated guidance of the Physical Training staff, including Mr Jitendra Patil and Mr Paresh Ipte from the Secondary Section, and Mrs Madhur Karambelkar, Physical Training teacher of the Primary Section. Their consistent efforts, careful planning and encouraging approach have ensured active participation and joyful learning throughout the camp. The camp is proving to be a refreshing and enriching experience for the students, helping them develop healthy habits while enjoying every
moment of physical activity.
Similarly, at PTV (ICSE), the 10-day Summer Camp was held from 21 to 30 March. It brought together 108 young learners from Grades 1 to 5 for an exciting journey of movement, play and discovery. It was organised in two batches to ensure focused engagement. Carefully curated activities and modified games helped strengthen fundamental gross motor skills and object handling abilities, keeping children actively involved and enthusiastic throughout. A special highlight was the use of the mud ground, allowing children to reconnect with natural play and enjoy rich sensory experiences beyond the digital world. The camp was a perfect blend of fun, fitness and
foundational skill-building—leaving behind happy faces, active minds and a lasting love for movement.
In an era where education is steadily moving beyond textbooks, at PTVEMS (Primary) the summer camp conducted by Mrs Anuradha Gore for students of Std. 1 to Std. 4 stands out as a thoughtful and enriching initiative. The camp truly lived up to the idea of “learning beyond the classroom.” It provided young learners with opportunities to explore creativity and knowledge through engaging, hands-on activities. Sessions like origami and kirigami encouraged children to transform simple sheets of paper into beautiful creations, fostering patience, precision, and imagination. “Fun with Maths” brought a refreshing twist to numbers, helping students overcome their fear of the subject and see it as enjoyable and approachable.
Meanwhile, the introduction of scientific toys made learning interactive, allowing children to understand basic concepts through play and experimentation. Punch craft sessions further added colour and creativity, enabling students to express themselves artistically. What made the camp even more special was the warmth and personal
touch brought in by Mrs Gore. As a token of love and appreciation, she gifted shells to each child, a simple yet meaningful gesture that left a lasting impression on young hearts. It reflected not just her dedication as an educator but also her care and affection towards her students.
Such initiatives play a vital role in shaping well-rounded individuals. By encouraging curiosity, creativity, and confidence, this summer camp created an environment where children could learn joyfully and grow holistically.
